City and Guilds Level 5 AMSPAR Certificate in Primary Care and Healthcare 4419-06

This course is designed specifically for existing and aspiring managers working, or who wish to work in a Primary Care or Healthcare environment.

The AMSPAR Certificate in Primary Care and Healthcare Management is designed specifically for managers in general practice and is included in the National Qualifications Framework.  Whilst the qualification is purpose-built for Primary Care the contents cover key management skills that can be transferred to a variety of environments.  The Certificate in Primary Care and Healthcare Management provides the learner with a vital stepping stone on their way to senior management.

The qualification is open to existing managers and potential managers in a health or social care environment. Candidates must be educated to Level 3 standard and should have a background that will enable them to benefit from the qualification.  Candidates who are unable to fulfil the entry requirements, but who have suitable management experience in any field, may be accepted onto the course.

About the course:

The certificate is awarded on the achievement of 22 credits, which will be gained by completing the following units:

  • 601 Managing Medical Ethics and Legal Requirements - 6 credits - 35 Learning Hours. More Information
  • 602 Financial Management and Budgeting in a Primary Care Health Environment - 7 credits - 25 Learning Hours. More Information
  • 603 Managing Information and Communication in a Primary Care Health Environment - 5 credits - 25 Learning Hours. More Information.
  • 604 Developing and Leading Teams to Achieve Organisational Goals and Objectives  - 4 credits - 18 Learning Hours. More Information.

The course is offered as a 60-week programme and ongoing support is offered throughout the course with 3 access points throughout the year. 

Payment Options:

The cost of this course is £1665.00, This course can be paid in full or by eight instalments of £231.25. You can start the course and the first unit will be released on enrolment and receipt of the first payment. If you wish to pay by instalment, bank transfer or cheque all details will be provided during enrolment. Please be aware this fee is not inclusive of VAT.

If your fee is being paid by a Trust, Practice CCG or similar, a purchase order guaranteeing payment, must be sent at the time of enrolment on the course will be released when payment has been received. An invoice may be requested in advance.
