An Introduction to Dealing with Difficult Situations

The BSMSA Introduction to Dealing with Difficult Situations course is suitable for anyone working or wishing to work within the health sector.

Learning incorporates a number of self-assessment opportunities and a final assessment, enabling the student to print off a certificate detailing the percentage scored.

The course contains one module covering the basics to give a solid level of knowledge of how to deal with difficult situations to enable confidence within the workplace.

Course Content:

  • Why are they caused?
  • How do you separate the problem from the person?
  • What are the best outcomes?
  • Providing choice
  • Body language
  • Escape solutions
  • The right to your employers’ support

The minimum requirements are a good standard of English and the ability to commit to 2 hours of self-study per week. The course takes 8-10 hours to complete with access being available for 3 months.
 
The cost is £55.00. If your fee is being paid for by a Trust or similar, payment, or a purchase order guaranteeing payment, must be sent to the BSMSA office at the time of enrolment. An invoice may be requested in advance.
